About us

EEST, India was formed in December 2008 and established in
Mumbai. Its purpose is exclusively charitable and
educational. EEST, India is planned on the lines of EESF, U.S.A
(Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation U.S.A)

EEST is a NOT for profit organisation and its purpose is exclusively charitable and educational.

EEST seeks support from the Elevator & Escalator Industry, other stake holders and well wishers to establish and build a nation-wide people of responsible practitioners of Safe Riders on Elevators, Escalators & Moving Walks. The preliminary plan to achieve the same is through creating awareness program modules to be administered in schools/ communities in Mumbai and PAN India. Thus creating awareness, saving lives & prevention of accidents amongst commuters of the Vertical Transportation is the primary objective of the Trust. To give the trust the lift it needs, EEST invites support from individuals and corporates associated with the Elevator & Escalator industry. Participation in the Trust activities is welcome through donations, which may be treated as a CSR activity.
The Trust is registered with the Charity Commissioner’s Office, Mumbai under the Mumbai Public Trust Act 1950, Registration number E26142 (Mumbai). Donations made to the trust are eligible for exemption U/S 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961 Vide exemption No. N414 dated 17th June, 2010.
